"I think the checklist tool could be improved if the list of species appeared with the number of specimens of that species. You can see this indirectly with the table view but it would be helpful in the list view when trying to identify some unknown. That way you could easily see the common versus the little collected species."

Would it show counts based on linked vouchers, within the checklist search parameters, across the whole portal, or all three counts? Either way, this could be an expensive query load on the server. Thus, might be best to add as an optional function triggered by a button push from the user. If it was automatic, traffic from web bots could add a problematic load on the server.
