Organising links to relevant internal and external resources #509

Description

This issue is to start a conversation around organising links to relevant internal and external resources (something @sparkslabs and @anenadic talked about on 31 October).

For task pages, relevant resources include:

  • relevant (internal) pages section (added via frontmatter metadata) and also linked in directly in the text
  • training materials section (now only coming from TeSS and discovered via keywords)
  • external resources (articles, websites, books) that are not training which are currently implemented as inline links but not listed in a separate section
  • tools (which are marked up via the tools tag ) - listed in a separate section

We are missing a collection of curated key resources (external resources that are not training and not relevant internal pages) that may or may not be mentioned on the page.

We could have a section called "External resources" to collect and highlight them in a single location:

  • automatically from the links embedded in the page
  • listed manually in this section (e.g. https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2) that may be mentioned in the text directly

These external resources could be curated by audience/difficulty - the what, the why and the link - resources matched to everyone and also for select audience.

Another point it that we should curate training resources in TeSS by audience/difficulty - that would be a great addition.
