XScreenSaver config help (or is this a bug?)

I've tried adding XScreenSaver. This looks like it should be simple, but I can't get it to work.
The download URL is: https://www.jwz.org/xscreensaver/download.html
This contains only a single apk link containing the version number. e.g.:

or:

<A CLASS="dl" HREF="xscreensaver-6.10.apk">xscreensaver-6.10.<WBR>apk</A>

If I add the download.html link as an HTML source, then when I tap the "Add" link I get a "Not Found" error. If I add a version regex and select "Track-only" then I am able to add it.
The app page shows the correct version number, but it says:

Last update check: 2025-04-29 18:26:05.793100
111711210-xscreensaver-6.10.apk

I believe the 111711210 is a hash. But I'm not sure it should be shown there.
If I tap the "Download release asset" link, then it shows that same name under the "Select release asset" heading.
If I tap "Continue", I get the following error:

Some errors occurred
Not Found [111711210-xscreensaver-6.10.apk]
                                              [Okay]

So it looks to me like it is trying to download the wrong filename.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

Basically, these are the (non-default) options that I think should work:

  "versionExtractionRegEx": "-([0-9.]+)",
  "matchGroupToUse": "$1",
  "appName": "test",
  "trackOnly": true,    /* required to add, but can be reverted later. This does not affect the behaviour of "Download release asset" */

I have managed to build the app with my changes applied and verified that it fixes the problem.
