API call that triggers user home directory creation?

Hi! AFAIK, when you enable home directory creation for LDAP or local users, that folder is created when login in the web admin. Is there any API call that fires the same process??

In the latest draft there us the addition of core_user module with inside a function create_user, If home folder is enabled it should create the folder automatically, but i haven't tested if it actually does actually fires the folder creation

Ok, thanks for your interest. The goal I try to achieve is to automate the user onboarding. We use Linux virtual desktops and the process should be:

• New user creation in corporate OpenLDAP.
• User sync in Synology from OpenLDAP.
• New User home folder creation in Synology under /volumex/homes/DOMAIN/x/user-id (here's the point)
• New autofs automount map in LDAP for the user home dir.

afaik the home folder creation is donde automatically by the NAS after the users are synced, so it should be not necessary to trigger it manually

Hi. In my NAS, the 4 existing LDAP user folders in /homes/@Domain/x/username are the admin ones. I guess thats because they are the only ones that have logged in the web admin. There are around 100 other users that are listed but the folders have not been created. Tomorrow Ill try to confirm how this exactly works.

Hi. Not found any API call that triggers the directory creation. As I thought, webadmin login does the trick but I cant automate that. The most simple way I have found to automate it has been starting and FTP session.
