👾 Description of the issue
In the
hiero-base
module, theSmartContractClientImpl
class implements three overloadedcreateContract
methods to deploy a smart contract using different inputs:A
FileId
and optional constructor parameters.A byte array representing the contract content and optional constructor parameters.
A
Path
to the compiled contract binary file and optional constructor parameters. These methods currently lack unit and integration tests. Tests for scenarios such as valid inputs, invalid or null parameters (e.g.,
FileId
, byte array, orPath
), empty content, and exception handling (e.g.,HieroException
) are missing, leaving this functionality unverified and prone to potential bugs.Suggested solution
Create a new test class or extend the existing test suite for
SmartContractClientImpl
to include tests for thecreateContract
methods. Ensure coverage for all input types (i.e.,FileId
, byte array, andPath
) and validate both positive and negative scenarios. Follow the established testing pattern using JUnit.📋 Step by step guide to do a contribution
