Exam Password

I'm configuring the SEB for an exam. In previous years I was able to set a password to enter the exam, and in my old files I'm still prompted to enter this password. However, I cannot find how to change this password in the MacOS version 3.6 of SEB. Does anybody know how I can set/change the exam password?

The option is still there, in the Configuration (previously called Config File) tab/pane of the in-app Settings menu. In Settings, the password is called "Settings password", even though SEB will ask users to "Enter exam password".

Maybe you're not able to enter the in-app Settings. There has been a change in SEB 3.6 with the purpose to not allow students to open the Settings window, even if the exam creator doesn't manually disable the settings menu (in Settings / Configuration / Allow to open Preferences window on client).

But because of this change, if you start SEB with default settings, you are not able to get into the Settings menu (this will be fixed in the next update). For now you can use the link (sebs://safeexambrowser.org/exams/SEBClientSettings_Settings_Allowed.seb ) on the download page to be able to open the Settings menu again:
