How to run the UF.Configurator on macOS

Hello i have tried to "run" the file UFiber.Configurator but it wont run, i have tried just to see if it runs but no luck. I have tried to "rename" it to *.app, also no luck.

In the macOS Archive there are similar files but the App File is different.

i have the version fw 4.4.6 and it is working with the configurator, i have done it on windows but i don't have the access to a windows machine on a regular basis.

I found the solution on windows and must be something similar for you as well:

Rename the file UFiber.Configurator-windows to UFiber.Configurator-windows.zip and extract the content again. Then CD the new folder win-x64 and run the command UFiber.Configurator.exe --help from there.

Hello, actually it is different, when i unpack it i get the "macos-x64" in which all the files are, also the "UFiber.Configurator" just without the .extension, well ok on a mac you can run an app or a script with the ./UFiber.Configurator but when i do i get the message "Killed 9" i have searched for the issue and i found i should download a "UPX" and using Homebrew run "brew install upx" and then Decompress the binary upx -d /path/to/App.app/MacOS/App ... but well this doesent work and this is too much far away of the description

Unlike other approaches found over the internet, this tool doesn't require any dependencies and is totally self-contained.

All you need is:

A Windows, Linux or MacOS computer;

so im lost ... for now.

Either way the tool does not work. I have made a guide for how to achieve the results you want. But it is in Greek.

Take a look at the guide and let me know if you need further help. However I finally switches to fs.com because I did not get the results I wanted regarding performance.

Hmm, what do you mean the tool does not work ?

I have also a Windows machine, and the Windows Archive works it is just archived twice, so after the firsts unpack you have to Unpack it again, this was shown in a video on YouTube.

I have successfully "patched" or send my configuration the UF-LOCO with the version 4.4.6,

So yes the tool is working and I successfully uploaded the config, now i need to contact my ISP what to do next if they are able to allow this.

Regarding the UF-Instant, it is not supported by ubiqity and i don't think it will work the same as the UF-LOCO or UF-Nano as you cant login into the SFP it is not working the same way.

Ok the solution is more simple than i thaught

Apple could not verify “UFiber.Configurator” is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.

This warning appears because macOS cannot verify that the app was signed by a verified developer or has been checked for malware, a security feature designed to protect your Mac
. To fix this, you can either seek an updated or alternative app, or override the security settings by going to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Security and clicking "Open Anyway"

(Proceed with caution): Override security settings

Warning: Only do this if you are confident the app is safe and comes from a trusted source, as this bypasses a security layer.
Go to Apple menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security.
Scroll down to the "Security" section.
You should see an option for "UFiber.Configurator" that was blocked. Click "Open Anyway".
You may be prompted for your password. Click "Open Anyway" again if a new window appears, then enter your password and click "OK".

You have to do it several times also for the "libsystem.....lyb" and ".dylib" files, then i got it running, if it works i dont know yet but is suppose yes.
