Hi! It's great that the company is finally paying attention to the open community. We would like to have native integration of robot vacuums in Home Assistant.
How I see it:
For example, there is an integration from Tasshack called Dreame Vacuum: https://github.com/Tasshack/dreame-vacuum
Full control of the vacuum cleaner is implemented here with a rather pleasant interface. It is a pity that the integration is developing very slowly and is not official. But you can do something similar for yourself to satisfy most HomeAssistant users.
I also want to mention the need for fully local control of the equipment. This will be useful for users like me who are concerned about their privacy and data processing on the clouds. It would be cool to be able to use your own Home Assistant server instead of Xiaomi clouds. The ability to unlink your device from the identifier and not access external servers outside the local network. This will reduce delays in connection with the cloud and give users the opportunity to use devices locally, storing maps and all vacuum cleaner data locally in Home Assistant.
I would also like to mention the possibility of integrating Bluetooth devices such as scales, sensors and others, using, for example, a Bluetooth adapter connected to the Home Assistant server.
Thank you for listening. I hope you will pay attention to my wishes :)
