The aptos dependency cannot be removed

I've been trying to migrate to the latest versions of @aptos-labs/wallet-adapter-react@4.1.3 and @aptos-labs/ts-sdk. As stated in docs, the aptos dependency is now deprecated, but I am still unable to remove it as it throws an error in @identity-connect/wallet-api as it has a peer dependency.

Please upgrade to the latest version @aptos-labs/wallet-adapter-react@6.0.1, identity connect dependency has been removed from the adapter package

Unfortunately that still doesn't work:
@aptos-labs/wallet-adapter-react@6.2.0 depends on @aptos-labs/wallet-adapter-core@5.8.0 which depends on @aptos-connect/wallet-adapter-plugin@2.5.0 which depends on @identity-connect/dapp-sdk@0.11.0 which depends on @identity-connect/wallet-api@0.1.2
