Saving Filters without losing unused filter themes

I made a script added all the color combos I wanted to use. I then spend at least two hours making my script without saving because I wanted to keep my colors. I didn't know if it would drop my colors would get destroyed if I did not close my filter while saving.

It crashed after all of that and I lost everything in the script. I did save my filtertheme (mostly) but now that I need to make the new file, that is not working correctly. (#142)

Also having background save file like sublime has where if I close the program or it crashes, it pulls back exactly where I left off. (I understand this is hard but it would be awesome feature if possible)
