Hello new user here.

Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 on Windows 11 x64.

When ever I try to setup the plugin with my server I get the error below.

An internal error has occurred: [string "ImmichAPI.lua"]:137: attempt to concatenate

Using the latest version of the plugin downloaded from github.
I'm seeing the issue with both publish and export.

I'm trying to connect to my local immich server over its public https enabled url. I can access the immich server through that URL on the same computer over a browser perfectly fine.

I've tried the local non https url too, but that gives me the same error.

I have debug logs turned on, but I'm not sure where to find them in a windows environment.

Exact steps are

1. Install plugin through plugin manager in LR, plugin files are stored in ../AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Lightroom/Modules
2. Restart Lightroom
3. Either create a new publish service using the plugin, or export using the plugin
4. Fill out immich server details https://my.domain.com, there is a subdomain involved
5. Fill out API key created in Immich for my admin user
6. Hit test connection
7. See the error in title

Starting with Lightroom 14 the plugin debug logs should be in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom\Logs\LrClassicLogs on Windows or /Users/<user>/Library/Logs/Adobe/Lightroom/LrClassicLogs/ on Mac
Adobe changed that in version 14.

Here's what I found in the log from yesterday. I replaced the real urls with placeholders, let me know if that's an issue and I'll PM you the logs instead.

Also maybe not related, but is the plugin supposed to try and sign in without user intervention? When I go to the plugin in the publish section for instance, if I click outside or change the window I get a popup saying I need to fill in login information, but I didn't even click 'test' or 'save'.

I get the error in the title as soon as I enter the API key, even before hitting test.

The first behavior is annoying because I do need to switch windows to get the API key. The second behavior isn't annoying but I do want to make sure that's expected behavior.

I see that the error says connectivity test failed, is the plugin doing any additional network tests like trying to ping a public DNS or the immich server? In my network all queries to public DNS servers are blocked because I have local DNS servers. The ping to the immich server shouldn't fail, but it does give me a better idea of where to troubleshoot further.

The plugin isn't doing any additional tests, it just tries to makes an authenticated API call to /users/me for testing. In your case the connection fails completely, which is pretty uncommon. Do you work with some kind of proxy server at your place? Are there any proxy servers set up in the Lightroom settings? Or is it possible that some kind of anti-virus software is preventing Lightroom from gaining access to Immich?

No outgoing proxies in my network. Immich is behind a reverse proxy for my public domain, but its working on everything else on my PC and my network.

No extra anti-virus software BUT that made me think of windows firewall and that was it! I had a rule in there blocking all outbound connections from Lightroom!
