Release?

Last release was in 2024 - since we are using it in StormCrawler, it would be beneficial to get an upgraded version out? (dependencies, etc.)

This project is pretty inactive and very little has been done since the last release. We could get a new version out but I think there is a more general discussion to be had about the status of the project and whether it should be archived.
I personally have little time and interest in it and so far very few people have contributed to it.

I don't mind either. We can drop it from the SC default.

From the archetype? The question is what backend to replace it with

OpenSearch, SOLR or just a simple PostgreSQL / SQL Backend ;-)
