CE can be installed to EMMC on these boxes. But anyway, I guess you installed something else on that box as well (slimbox?) that modified the bootloader. So go back to the original Android image first. Then try again. |

I will try that though my CE microSD may no longer boot. I thought, incorrectly perhaps, that the only code used from the original box was what was needed to boot Debian, and that nothing was used once Debian was running. |

This has CoreELEC and SLIMbox and I don't remember if I installed CE to the EMMC when I initially got it.
With this debian distro, it sees the 32GB boot USB stick as mmc1 and the internal EMMC as mmc2 and also an external USB keyboard but no discernible progress beyond that.
