I saved a new .mobileconfig file from what is saved in Github and installed the profile locally on a test Mac running Mojave 10.14.3. The menu bar items won't actually change until the user logs out, restarts, or you kill the Finder process to force a refresh.
I can get everything to appear, although the battery percentage is not showing for me. I'll have to investigate to see if there was a change in Mojave that broke that setting. But other than that, all the other options are working for me. If you uploaded this profile to your MDM service, you might want to sign it in case your MDM vendor unexpectedly makes changes to custom profiles.
Hello @ducksrfr this has been working flawlessly for since 10.14.3 but unfortunately now it seems broken again during testing for Catalina 10.15 can you double check it and see if this requires changing again please. Even after reboot the icons still do not appear I used it mostly for battery percentage, VPN, and Volume.
