[ENHANCEMENT]: Choosing the right temperature for the right function

• In actual Version we can use the internal heat-pump sensor for the outdoor temperature or an external sensor- which in my case is delayed for better cop.
  But for some function -e.g. degree days or WAR or conditions in scheduler or ... it could be helpful to choose the right temperature"right" sensor.

Describe the solution you'd like
In sensor menue there could be a checkbox for the purpose of the sensor...
Otherwise is possible to make the choosing in the function menue.. but first solution sounds better for me..

Question 1: why would you want to delay the outdoor temperature to get higher COP?
What is the usecase and benefit. ?

I think you are talking about the WAR function, for the outside temperature.

In the red box, there is the sensor for WAR.
For the functions of WAR, conditions etc... then you would not need this delay right?

We talked about the delaying of temperature in an already closed issue: #140

I use the warm temperatures from maybe 11am with higher COP with the value from 3 am in the morning (e.g. 8 h delay) for WAR setpoint.
So I get more heat energy during warmer temperatures.
But this is not the real outside temperature, we need for scheduling or for degrees day calculation.
So the idea was to make the sensors selectable for WAR, schedule and degree days ( maybe some more..?)
(And choosing S0-output of Heishamon for HP-power was also an issue for selecting sensors😉)

This is only possible with the custom WAR function. Not the native Compensation Curve from Panasonic. But I guess you probably already are aware of that. 😄

Would it be a nice feature to add a delay indicator /toggle on the WAR tab in the dashboard?

Yes- I think so, too. Maybe with adjustable delay?
(And as next version I implemented a function, which calculates the difference between actual and delayed outside temperature and add this value multiplied with an adjusted factor to this delayed value: the aim is to amplify the "smart idea" because my WAR-function is rather flat)
