User accounts and potential features

Hi,

What if you offered the option for user accounts, with settings that the user could set and persist over sessions. This would allow for multiple customization options that do not need to bloat the main interface, but vastly improve the usability and adoption of the solution.

Examples that I am thinking of are:

1. Keep the map in the country instead of zone format
2. Have the electricity sources clustered together (see this thread)
3. Day-ahead predictions
4. Paid features - I will create a new thread for them
5. Customize the left hand side panel - rearrange or hide sections
6. ...

BTW, most if not all of these changes do not require any backend changes. Assuming of course that the rendering is done on the clients and your BE is generic and abstract enough.
