Open dialog/modal windows not shown after alt-tab back to the app

You're in an app that is showing a dialog (for example "Do you want to save....") or a modal window (for example a settings window).
In app switcher mode, alt-tab to another app.
Then alt-tab back to the app with the dialog or modal window.
Then the main window of that app is shown and you have to alt-~ to get the dialog or modal window back.
Is it possible to restore the active window of the app you're tabbing back to?

Thank you, but unfortunately the issue is still there. But I don't know if the reason might be that they are older apps and/or MDI apps. Haven't noticed it yet in newer apps (like Word, Visual Studio, Notepad++).
Unless more people have issues with this, don't put to much effort into it for now.

Indeed, it may depend on the app. For instance, I was able to reproduce and fix it for paint.
Could you point me to a specific app I could use to reproduce?

For our company I maintain several older applications with Delphi 7, which has this issue. But all apps created with it have this dialog/modal window issue.
Easier to test might be Getdiz, a small and fast text editor. This has also the issue that it shows 2 windows per instance in AltAppSwitcher while only 1 is actually visible.
(but it has no modal windows to test with, only the dialog issue)

Please give latest v0.45 pre-release a try. I tweaked the window identification logic. Seems OK now with GetDiz, but it needs more testing 🙂

I tested GetDiz and Delphi7 and Delphi7 apps for the dialog and modal window issue and it works!! Nice job, thank you very much.
