So, there are AIS messages for your vessel, they just get formatted as AIVDM rather than AIVDO, correct? I think this might be due to fact that this function (generating AIVDO) was not set up for N2K. I have uploaded a small fix. Program can be installed via the usual installation script but please install from source (as the Github actions for building the binaries is down). Also I could not really test for now. But hopefully this will resolve it, let me know. J. |

I'm running v0.61 with NMEA2000 on can0 on my own ship with a Raspberry Pi, currently using openplotter distribution.
Everything mostly works as expected when forwarding info to aiscatcher.org (with
-X
) and/or MarineTraffic (-u
).I can see AIVDM messages with my own MMSI, but no AIVDO messages are being generated. As a result, aiscatcher.org doesn't show the station location, and MarineTraffic will not update my ship's position based on my own AIVDM messages as they require AIVDO. Practical implication is that when my boat is not within range of other stations, my ship's position is not reported by MarineTraffic.
