Description
Hello lvm, I'm geikha (also from argentina, así que si querés cambiar a hablar en castellano me parece bien). I made a huge collection of drum machines for tidal.
See:
https://github.com/ritchse/tidal-drum-machines
I did a survey about drum machine abbreviations at the time, and with the results I formatted the sample pack. You can see the results in the readme of the repo mentioned above.
Then I came across your repo here and realized we had some different names for stuff (for example, snaredrum here is sn but on my sample pack it's sd)
I thought we should come to a consensus to have both our libraries consistent so that users can enjoy both at the same time without any pain heh. I also would like to extend mine to be able to apply any of the rhythms here automatically or in a more concise way.
Here I quote my readme with the abbreviations decided on the survey:
| Drum | Abbreviation |
|---|---|
| Bass drum, Kick drum | bd |
| Snare drum | sd |
| Rimshot | rim |
| Clap | cp |
| Closed hi-hat | hh |
| Open hi-hat | oh |
| Crash | cr |
| Ride | rd |
| Shakers (and maracas, cabasas, etc) | sh |
| High tom | ht |
| Medium tom | mt |
| Low tom | lt |
| Cowbell | cb |
| Tambourine | tb |
| Other percussions | perc |
| Miscellaneous samples | misc |
| Effects | fx |
I imagine there may be some percussive elements in your pack that may not correspond to what I got into with my survey? For example I saw one of your rhythms has an element called 'ac' which i'm not sure what it is.
Anyway, let's keep in touch about this!
I open this issue since I couldn't find how to contact you elsewhere.
