Can the JS java-script module be Used to connect directly? #3
Description
I know this post is old I am just getting into programming with rethinkDB I like it more than firebase. I have rethinkDB set up locally on port 8080. my question is with the JS NPM module installed in angular 6 project locally will I still need a backend service like the one you provided or Horizon? I understand security aspect but wasn't sure if beeing this post was so old if we could connect directly to rethink by now in a secure way? Also if not how would I add this repo service as to deploy it on a local dev server and hosted server? do I just add the repo to my project with your other module? is there an NPM available for this host/client config you built? do I need to treat it as a host and run a dev server separately for your module once its installed or will my instance of the web pack dev server work?
