MATHWORKS_SERVICE_HOST_MANAGED_INSTALL_ROOT not honoured for R2024a

Following the instructions to install a centralized managed ServiceHost (download, install, export environment variable and delete local user install) and then launching matlab/R2024a, I find that matlab proceeds to try and download ServiceHost again and install it in my $HOME.

There is no documentation anywhere I can find regarding MATHWORKS_SERVICE_HOST_MANAGED_INSTALL_ROOT. Can you please provide documentation on which versions this environment variable supports, and how to debug failure to honour it.

Note: The above scripts work only for MATLAB releases starting from R2024a Update 6.

Have you installed the latest R2024a Update?
