Selected "Highlight" examples at the top of the gallery

Carol had the great suggestion in the community meeting that there should be a subset of examples, high value ones, provided first, at the top of the gallery.
Perhaps they could have larger images/less dense grid?

Coping my response from the corresponding Zulip thread: imho: have a "highlight" tag and present the highlighted examples at the top in the default gallery view.
