Yes - the problem is bad overall UX, so I have few enhancements prepared.
Describe the solution you'd like
I'd love it if you added at least some of the following features/upgrades:
(The app language is set to Czech)
1. Display the date of last edit
When you open the list of notes, there's a text showing the date the note was last edited. Below is a preview of how that could look:
Why add this feature:
- Gives the user more information about the note — whether you distinguish notes by date, or it helps you recall faster what the note is about
- Overall better UX
2. Merge the two different editors into a Samsung Notes–like one
Before submitting this issue, I noticed that someone is already trying to include a toolbar for the native markdown editor — as seen here — but that's not the same thing.
Why do we have two different editors, and the first one has two modes? Why not merge them into one?

Why add this feature:
- Smoother experience
- Makes the editor more intuitive
3. Add shortcuts to the app menu
Make the menu more like the one in Nextcloud Files — add 3 shortcuts. It would be easier to navigate between Nextcloud apps. Again, here's a rough preview of how it could look. I don't even know what font it uses, so it's not perfect — I'd swap out the Nextcloud and Talk icons and not make the text below bold, but this is just a sketch.
Why add this feature:
- Easier navigation between Nextcloud apps
- Better UI — makes the menu feel more complete
Describe alternatives you've considered
Other notes apps (e.g. Samsung Notes), but none of them connect to Nextcloud.
Additional context
The previews as seen above, are just sketches, so you can visualize how the feature could look like.
