Describe the solution you'd like
Unity already has the Sprite Library and the Sprite Resolver to be able to retarget the animations from one sprite to another. But they use the Animation Clips, Animator, Sprite Library and the Sprite Resolver. The whole system is quite overcomplicated and could use a huge refactor.
I really wish the tool Sprite Animations had that possibility. (:

I really only considered using the default way that Unity already has. :/
