The first public beta version of novaGallery v2 is online. 🥳

novaGallery 2 is a complete rewrite and works fundamentally differently than novaGallery v1. Due to its beta status, to use on poduction use is not recommended.

New features

• New caching system (cache is now stored in a separate folder and no longer in the galleries)
• GDImage replaced with SimpleImage as library --> No more rotation problems
• More image types are supported: JPG, PNG, Static GIF, Animated GIF, WebP
• Addons: novaGallery can be extended with addons. This function is still experimental and may still change fundamentally
• More compatibility with various Linux servers
• Several bugs have been fixed

Known bugs

• Sorting of albums in nested albums does not work if upper levels do not contain images
