Hi
Yes, the ctrl-M does NOT support the IBM 122 terminal variant (aka
battleship).
This was decided in favor of simplicity, cost and support for the
later Lexmark models with the smaller PCB.
There are other ways to modernize your IBM 122 keyboard:
- BLUSB controller with forked QMK: https://www.ebay.de/itm/156518694401
- Model X controller with ZMK: https://www.ebay.de/itm/276766848419
- DIY based on Blackpill with
QMK: https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/tree/master/keyboards/ibm/model_m_122/m122_3270
All the best,

… I lucked into a 122 Model-M Battleship previously attached to an IBM
5250 terminal. I like the ctrl-M, but I have different flex cables:
20 + 8. Did you ever come across such a setup? is there a version of
ctrl-M for 122-key?
