publiccode.yml and gov-codejson?

Dear all, I discovered https://github.com/DSACMS/gov-codejson which is actively developed by @natalialuzuriaga - welcome on this forum Natalia!

Both publiccode.yml and gov-codejson are already well advanced in terms of definitions and their usage, so I won't be the one pushing for "one schema to rule them all". But I thought it'd be nice to exchange views about these topics:

• What are the problems each standard tries to address?
• How each standard addresses them?
• What useful comparisons can we make?
• What are the consequence of some design choices?

I am really just writing to somehow "connect" publiccode.yml and gov-codejson.

Maybe this even deserves an IRL/visio meeting? I'd be happy to organize it if you upvote.

A way to connect the two would be to work on a (linked data) domain model together (I'd suggest "borrowing" something like https://eduxs.eu/references/#information), and create a mapping (of terms) for both standards to the shared model

Indeed! As codemeta already proposes a mapping between many software description schemas, including publiccode.yml, I have just proposed to include gov-codejson in this issue.
