It would be cool to be able to take a screenshot of something, then just paste it into sharesome to upload. But I wonder if there are technical limitations preventing this?

Can you elaborate on where to paste it from? I don't quite understand what you mean yet.

When you take a screenshot in your OS, it's copied to your clipboard. So you can Ctrl-V it into programs which accept image data. Would be cool if I could just paste directly into sharesome, instead of a) looking for the file created by the screenshot. or b) opening an image editor and pasting it in, saving it and then dragging it to sharesome.

When you take a screenshot in your OS, it's copied to your clipboard.

That depends heavily on the OS.

Nonetheless, what you mean is accepting an image from the OSs paste buffer in general then. There's the Clipboard API now, but I haven't looked at its details yet. Might be possible.
