port a new device,but it doesn't boot

I wrote dts for eebbk s5 (I once submitted a pull request), but the compiled dtb couldn't enable the kernel to boot on it.Could you tell me how to fix?

Forgive me. My English is not good.I tried to replace the kernel in Recovery.img with it and flash it to the recovery partition, but when it entered recovery mode, it entered fastboot instead.

How exactly did you create boot image? Which command did you use?

I suspect simply replacing kernel image is not enough, kernel should come with its own appended DTB

cat .output/arch/arm64/boot/Image.gz …/dts/…/….dtb > Image.gz-dtb

I unpack the recovery.img，copy Image.gz-dtb to the unpack dir，then repack and flash it.

You should run pmbootstrap build --envkernel linux-postmarketos-qcom-sdm660 then use pmbootstrap flasher boot according to this article: https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Compiling_kernels_with_envkernel.sh#Run_the_kernel
