1. ๐ง Introduction
Welcome to the official Wiki for 0trace โ an immersive, open-source hacking simulation game that puts you in control of a virtual Linux-like environment where you can hack other players, NPCs, and enterprises. Whether youโre a cyberpunk at heart, a tech enthusiast, or a curious gamer looking for something unique, 0trace offers a strategic, multiplayer experience unlike anything else.
0trace is a real-time hacking simulation game where players:
- Interact with a realistic Linux-like OS.
- Build and customize their own hacking tools.
- Hack into AI-driven NPCs, corporate servers, or even other players.
- Compete or collaborate in a dynamic multiplayer environment.
Itโs built with technical accuracy in mind while maintaining accessibility for future newcomers. While still in early development, our goal is to deliver an experience thatโs both educational and entertaining โ no real-world hacking needed!
Weโre building 0trace to become a rich and evolving hacking sandbox.
Here's what's in the pipeline:
- ๐ง More depth: Smarter NPCs, complex defenses, and enterprise-grade systems to infiltrate.
- ๐ช Graphical Window System: Coming in update
v0.0.7.5
, we're adding support for multiple interactive GUI windows. - ๐ฅ๏ธ Compiled Builds: In the future, youโll be able to play 0trace as a standalone
.exe
Windows application. - ๐ Beginner-Friendliness: Tutorials and onboarding are planned to help more people get into the game.
Our mission is to make hacking simulation fun, accessible, and collaborative โ without sacrificing depth or realism.
- ๐ป Aspiring hackers and tinkerers
- ๐ฎ Gamers who enjoy strategy, problem-solving, and multiplayer battles
- ๐งช Developers, students, and hobbyists who love exploring tech and open-source projects
- ๐ธ Anyone who wants a fun, free experience โ without needing to break the bank!
โ ๏ธ Note: The game is currently in early development and doesn't include a tutorial (yet), so it may be more suitable for tech-savvy users at this stage.
0trace is currently in early development (v0.0.x
series), but actively maintained and updated.
We welcome contributions, feedback, and community involvement as we continue building.
