## APS CU7.9
Release date - September 2025

All updates for this release are focused on target security vulnerabilities. These updates do not add new functionality or features to the APS software.

### SQL Server updates
This release includes a series of General Distribution Releases (GDRs) and security hotfixes, updating to SQL Server build 13.0.6455.2. These updates focus on security, stability, and compliance rather than introducing new features.

### Update to PDW Admin Console
Updated the PDW admin console health file to elevate the severity of external HDD issues, ensuring aging hardware failures are now flagged as critical for prompt resolution.

### Firmware updates
Support for newer firmware version, based on each appliance manufacturer.

### Updates to PDW validator
Small changes to the PDW Appliance validator to validate the SQL Server version to the new expected version (13.0.6455.2).
