I think a low-maintenance cost web presence that also hosts the progress reports can be really useful.

  1. It increases the findability of our project
  2. We can collect resources here via simple markdown documents
  3. We have a central place to which (potential) contributors can go to learn more
  4. Public progress reports might be one way of making us "accountable' to actually make progress
  5. It might help w/ building the community (we can also add a 'team' page w/ people who contribute)

Very cool, I wonder if there isn't a demo or a preview of the page?

Other than that, the code looks pretty maintainable as you've established the posts/01 pattern. Though I wonder if you might include a brief README.md on how to generate the HTML found in _site/.

Can't speak to the content of the post though, so I'll keep this to a comment.
