removes defaults dependency, forces conversion of sam to bam if not performed already (sometimes it is not)

• defaults (from anaconda org is not accessible unless institutions pay for it, and isn't needed)
• forced sam-> bam conversion solves occasional error (probably some sort of race condition?)
