Welcome to the wordpress-and-joomla-brute-force project. This tool helps you test the security of your WordPress and Joomla websites against brute-force attacks. Itβs easy to use, even if you're not tech-savvy. Follow these steps to download and run the application.
Before you proceed, ensure your system meets these requirements:
- Operating System: Windows, macOS, or Linux
- Minimum 2 GB of RAM
- At least 100 MB of free disk space
- An internet connection for downloading and updating
To download the software, click the link below:
On the releases page, you will see different versions of the application. Choose the latest stable version. This version usually has the most up-to-date features and bug fixes.
Click on the file to begin your download. Wait for the download to complete.
Once the file has downloaded:
- If you are on Windows: Locate the downloaded
.exefile. Double-click it to run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. - If you are on macOS: Find the downloaded
.dmgfile. Open it and drag the application to the Applications folder. - If you are on Linux: Depending on your distribution, use the package manager for installation or run the downloaded script in the terminal.
After installation, you will find the application in your programs list:
- On Windows, search for βwordpress-and-joomla-brute-forceβ in the Start menu.
- On macOS, look for it in your Applications folder.
- On Linux, you can launch it from the applications menu or terminal.
After launching the application, you will see a simple interface. Input the URL of the WordPress or Joomla site you want to test.
Set the options according to your needs. You can customize settings such as the number of attempts and the speed of the attack.
Click the Start button to begin testing. The application will start the brute-force process, attempting to identify weak passwords.
Once the test completes, the results will show if any weak passwords were found. This information helps you strengthen your siteβs security.
