After discussion, it was decided to create a draft pull request. This is only a prototype, it is not a solution that should be made public (at least until it is decided).
The current login method is deprecated and doesn't work. I tried to rewrite the code to add support for all modern login methods: Normal, TOTP, Magic Link, MFA.
