Summary

This tutorial explores the quantum pigeonhole paradox — a counterintuitive result from pre-/post-selection quantum mechanics, where three particles appear never to share two boxes.

Details and comments

This tutorial describes how to use measurements to expose the paradox and the impact of those measurements on the delicate quantum system that is causing the paradox.
It introduces the approach of weak measurement to minimize the impact of measurements on the quantum system.
